bmp Holding AG (ISIN DE0003304200), an e-commerce group in the segment of sleep products (such as bedding, bedroom furniture and mattresses), generated consolidated revenue of € 7.7 million in the first half of 2016. This corresponds to growth of more than 700% compared to the first half of 2015 (€ 0.95 million). Consolidated revenue in the first half of 2016 exactly matched the forecast.

By contrast, revenue in the third quarter will significantly fall short of the expected level of € 4.5-5 million and amount to approximately € 3.2 million. This was attributable to technical changes at sleepz, a low contribution to revenue by Grafenfels and the warmer than usual weather overall during the quarter.

For the fourth quarter of 2016, the Executive Board anticipates revenue of € 5-7 million. The forecast for revenue in the year as a whole has therefore changed from € 20 million to € 16-18 million. This corresponds to anticipated revenue growth of around 250% in comparison to 2015 (€ 4.75 million). The guidance of revenue of € 25-40 million including another one or two company acquisitions is being withdrawn, as no companies have been acquired yet in the year to date.

The annual forecast for the result from ordinary activities of € -1 million to € -2 million – adjusted for non-recurring effects from changes in value in the residual venture capital portfolio – remains unchanged.
